West Sumatra is the home of the matrilineal Minangkabau people is the beautiful land of West Sumatra. It is a region of spectacular natural beauty. Scattered through its highland terrain are picturesque lakes, suitable for sailing, fishing and swimming. Bukit Tinggi the province coolest city on the slope of the Bukit Barisan at 3,000 feet above sea level is about 80 km from the coastal capital city of Padang.

The region is not only rich in traditional architecture such as the horn-shaped museum or the impressive Sianok Canyon, but is also noted for its local handicrafts such as filegree work and silver-threaded songket fabric.

DAY 1 : AIRPORT - BUKITTINGGI (L D)
Upon arrival at Minangkabau International Airport, welcome service by tour guide. Transfer to Bukittinggi via Lembah Anai. Enroute stop at Batang anai Waterfall and Information Centre of Minangkabau Culture. Visit Pandai Sikek Village to buy Weaving Handicraft “ Kain Songket” , handbriodery (sulam, telekung, and wood carving). Continue the journey to visit Ngarai Sianok (Grand Canyon) and Japanese Tunnel, Benteng Fort De Kock and the Zoo. Afternoon walk and shopping at Jam Gadang in Bukittinggi and Pasar Atas. Dinner and check in to hotel in Bukittinggi.

DAY 2 : MINANGKABAU TOUR (B L D)
After breakfast at the hotel, full day tour of Minangkabau highland. Drive along lovely countryside to Payakumbuh and Harau Valley Nature Reserve. After lunch at Pondok Flora restaurant, then continue to the King’s Palace ( Istana Lindung Bulan in Batu Sangkar). In the evening after diner at local restaurant, then we’ll bring you to see the traditional dance of Minangkabau (optional tour).

DAY 3 : BUKITTINGGI - AIRPORT (B)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drop you off to the airport for your flight home or next destination.
