This program will lift you up to the highest point in Lombok, the majestic Rinjani. The adventure starts at Sembalun point, as it is much closer to the summit compared to Senaru. The trail is dominated by savanna, giving you the sense of being on a giant green emerald. En-route, you may encounter some domestic animal wandering around in the meadow. However, the walk can be very hot as there is hardly any forested trail. So prepare your hat and sun cream.

Day 1

Hotel – Sembalun (strating point / Post I) – Rim

You will be picked up at your hotel at about 6 AM (presumably you stay in Senggigi) and be transferred to Semabalun. As soon as you arrive at Semabalun at about 9.30 AM, light and quick breakfast will be served before starting the noteworthy adventure.

After walking a few hours, you will take a quite long break and lunch at Post II. The hike will be continued to the rim. Tent will be set here for over night.

Day 2

Sembalun Rim – Summit

The trek to the top begins as early as 3 AM to enjoy the sunrise but to stay away from strong ice cold wind and haze. To say the least, the trek is rather more difficult because of the volcanic pebbles that scattered on the trail. Nevertheless, the beauties of the sun and the moon during right time are awesome. Reaching the top by the sunrise at 6 AM and stay there for 1 hour to enjoy it and the rest of the magnificence. Back to the base camp

Sembalun Rim – Lake – Senaru Rim

After breakfast, leave the rim for the lake. Arrive at the lakeside around midday, laze around the lakeside or pay a visit to the near by hot spring and plunge yourself into it to get cured, as the local believe it so. After recharging your energy at the hot spring, the journey continues to trek up to Senaru rim. Sunset is gorgeous from this point. Tent will be set here for overnight.

Day 3

Rim – Senaru

After breakfast, leave the rim for Senaru. On the way, experience the typical flora and fauna, features of tropical rain forest. You may encounter birds, various types of butterflies, gray monkeys, and occasionally the endangered species of black ebonies, and deers. Beside, you may also see orchids and other kinds of flowers and trees. Be at Senaru at afternoon and drive back to hotel.
