About West Timor and Timor Leste

1. WEST TIMOR
The island of timor has a turbulent history as a trading port. Chinese, Japanese and Islamic trader frequented the island for the island for many countries seeking the fragrant Sandalwood so treasured troughout the world. The portugese and dutch competed for this trade, eventually dividing the island into two: Dutch West Timor and portugese East timor. After Indonesia Independence, the east remained in the hands of portugese until 1975, when a left wing movement threatened to take control of the newly independent East Timor. Indonesia stepped in and annexed the territory.
After Timor has a remarkable history, Captain William Bligh, a British Admiral Landed here during his 3.600 mile jorney aboard the Bounty in 1789. West Timor is a fascinating palce to visit. The capital city of Timor is  kupang as once as the capital city of East Nusa Tenggara province. Kupang is only short flight from Darwin, in Australia’s Northern Territory, and also the trading gateway for the tiny islands of Sawu and Roti, both Famed for their Ikat Weaving. The communities consist of various tribes are from any islands like Flores Island, Sumba Island, Timor-Timor country, etc. these tribes have a different characters and languages. And also, there are five religions namely: 30% Chatolics,  60% Kristen, and 10% Islamic,
Destination to West timor (kupang) is useable airplane from Jakarta to Kupang or Denpasar to Kupang by an airplain one day, namely: Lion, Batavia, Sriwijaya, garuda, Merpati, Mandala and Transnusa.

2. TIMOR LESTE
Timor Leste is a neighbour country from Indonesia, Timor Leste is bounded on the North by the Banda sea and Wetar Strait, and the south by the Timor Sea, on the west  by  Indonesia Directly namely the province of East Nusa Tenggara on the East by Arafura Sea, Which cover an area of 14,609sq.km with Dili as capital city.
Timor Leste community live in tribal groups which run a patriarchal linear descent system. The most outstanding among the tribes historical country with numerous historical towns and spas, fascinating castles and chateaux’s, there is much intriguing architecture and there are many rich cultural activities. Timor Leste is a country of undiscovered natural, natural beauty with picturesque mountains, exclusive hiking trails, numerous spas and the strong cultural heritage of the portugese, the country independence in 1999 and at once as the youngest country in the world. For going to there, can use  an airplain from Bali and land transportation from Kupang.
