Balinese. Stops can be made at any photogenic points
en-route.
Malimbu Scenic View
Malimbu has both fascinating
sea and hill views. You can also see Bali’s highest and
holiest mountain in the horizon. On the other side, green
coconut palm trees beautify the valleys. Therefore, make a
short stop-over here has long been a ritual for day trippers
to Gilis.
Sendang Gila & Tiu Kelep
Waterfalls
Sendang Gila Waterfall is
situated on the foot of Rinjani and has lush tropical forest
on the background. Some part of the waterfall can be seen
from the rim while having a cup of coffee or tea at a local
restaurant. To enjoy the waterfall from up close, an easy
walk down on concrete steps awaits. Hiking in the tropical
forest from Sendang Gila Waterfall to grandeur Tiu Kelep
Waterfall is astonishing way to get sweat and refreshed
mentally and physically. You may encounter wild monkeys
hanging and jumping from one limb to another in the forest.
Be prepared to get splashed by the waterfalls, or prepare
your swim suits.
Senaru Traditional Village
Senaru is a rustic village that
remains very simple and traditional in today’s modern life.
The dwellers are mountain tribe who are basically one big
family. They support their life with farming in the nearby
forest. Wandering around the village, you will feel as if
you are going back to the past. Life goes unbelievably very
slow and modest here.
Pusuk Monkey Forest
On the way back to the hotel
(presumably you stay in Senggigi), you will take a
mountainous snake-like road through preserved monkey forest.
This will give you a chance to meet and feed the “ancestors”
in the street in the wild. Don’t forget to bring some peanut
to feed them with so you can enjoy watching monkeys
skillfully peel off the peanut. After meeting and feeding
the “ancestors”, you’ll be back to the hotel.
